People often ask me what a typical day looks like at Lumora Belle. The truth is, no two days are exactly the same — but there's a rhythm to salon life that I've grown to love.
Morning: Setting Up
I arrive about 30 minutes before my first client. The treatment room gets sanitised, fresh towels laid out, tools sterilised, and music put on. There's something meditative about this quiet setup time — it helps me get into the right headspace for the day ahead.
Mid-Morning: First Clients
Mornings are usually lashes and brows. A classic lash set to start the day, maybe a brow lamination after. I love mornings — everyone's fresh, the energy is calm, and there's something special about helping someone start their day feeling beautiful.
“My favourite moment is when a client opens their eyes after a lash set and sees themselves for the first time. That reaction never gets old.

Afternoon: Facials & Nails
Afternoons tend to be a mix of facials, dermaplaning, gel nails, and the occasional makeup booking. The pace picks up a bit, but I always make sure there's enough time between appointments so nothing feels rushed.
Late Afternoon: Admin & Restock
After my last client, it's time for the less glamorous but equally important parts of running a solo salon: checking stock levels, ordering supplies, responding to messages on Fresha, updating the booking calendar, and deep-cleaning everything.
The Best Part
Without question, it's the clients. Running a solo salon means I build real relationships with the people who come through my door. I know about their holidays, their kids, their work dramas. It's not just beauty — it's connection.
That's a peek behind the curtain at Lumora Belle. If you'd like to experience it for yourself, book an appointment and come say hello — I can't wait to meet you.
